July 8, 2026_ Thailand's relevant agencies are preparing to submit seven proposed laws. The primary objective is to combat the speculative purchase of land for commercial purposes by capital groups who may act as front men or may not actually be the actual users. These measures aim to safeguard land security and prevent negative impacts on housing and agricultural land prices. The legislation will seek to distinguish between "real investors" and "front men" by defining terms and restrictions on ownership, reports the daily newspaper Krungthep Turakij. Further details and technical measures will be provided later.
