Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, met students who won gold at the Greenwich International Innovation Olympiad in London.
Four students from Dubai Schools Al Khawaneej defeated competitors from 80 countries with their Smart Irrigation Train project.
The Crown Prince praised the students as a "shining model" for Emirati youth and an inspiration for Dubai's students.
The win highlights the UAE's emphasis on innovation and education as drivers of national progress and prosperity.
