NEW DELHI: Heavy rain lashed several parts of Delhi-NCR on Wednesday as IMD issued a yellow alert for more showers and thunderstorms during the day.The weather department said light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms or lightning and gusty winds of 30–40 kmph, is very likely at many places across Delhi over the next few hours.According to the IMD, the maximum temperature is expected to settle at around 32 degrees Celsius.Safdarjung, the city's base weather station, recorded a minimum temperature of 25.4 degrees Celsius. It also recorded 14.2 mm of rainfall in the 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Wednesday.Weather experts said the intensity of rainfall is likely to decrease on today and tommorrow as the current weather system is expected to weaken after heavy showers drenched the city.
