An enemy drone attacked a residential area in Kherson, killing a 71-year-old resident; a Russian drone also struck a car in the city center, killing a 53-year-old man; several people were injured during the Russian attacks.
According to Ukrinform, this information was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office and the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
“According to the investigation, on July 8, 2026, at approximately 8:50 a.m., Russian military forces attacked a residential area in Kherson with a drone,” the prosecutor’s office stated in its report.
As noted, a 71-year-old resident was killed when an explosive device was dropped into the yard of his home. The man was in the yard at the time of the attack.
Under the procedural supervision of the Kherson District Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the commission of a war crime that resulted in a fatality.
