A contestant on Deal or No Deal has shared how they made Noel Edmonds blush when they were on the show, getting the audience going when they appeared 16 years ago09:42, 08 Jul 2026Updated 09:42, 08 Jul 2026Deal or No Deal has made a comeback in recent years with Stephen Mulhern, but many will remember the days when now 77-year-old Noel Edmonds was the frontman.‌Noel had a unique ability to masterfully interact with contestants, build suspense as they opened their boxes and spoke to the banker on the phone, and make Deal or No Deal highly addictive for viewers.‌One man has shared his experience of meeting Noel Edmonds when he was just 20 years old. He landed a spot on the game show – and admitted to doing something "outrageous" during their interaction.‌Harry Clayton-Wright, now 36, shared: "I went on Deal or No Deal when I was 20 years old and flirted outrageously with Noel Edmonds".He posted a picture of himself from when he was younger, in which he posed alongside Channel 4 host Noel during a festive episode of the programme.Content cannot be displayed without consent‌Dressed as an elf, Harry then played the footage of the show, where he flirted outrageously with Noel. He said: "Well, I might as well live up to my reputation, and produce a penny and give you a kiss. Mwah".As he said this, he suggestively raised an eyebrow, and the other contestants chuckled and smirked around him.Noel looked around the audience, blushing and smiling at Harry's confidence as he said, "You're quite warming to this television malarkey, aren't you?"‌Harry cheekily responded, "I like kisses," and Noel replied, "Oooh". Harry then said, "Noel," and Noel said, "No chance".Harry was then encouraged to open his box to see what was inside, as they were all hoping that it was a low amount of money, rather than thousands of pounds gone.Noel pursed his lips in a jokey way to him as the audience clapped him as he opened up his box, to reveal a blue £100.‌Noel then celebrated – and Harry was laughing with a slight look of disappointment in his eyes as he didn't manage to produce the penny for a kiss.He shook Noel's hand at the end of the video while beaming from ear to ear. In the comments, someone wrote: "Haha, this is brilliant! My dad is in the 1p club!"‌Another joked they could "feel the tension" from where they are, and Harry joked that he could "still feel it" 16 years later.A third said that it was "brilliant" television, and they wanted to see him have "more" banter with Noel.However, some said that it wasn't their idea of fun. One person said: "That show would be my version of torture.
