Lebanese President Joseph Aoun is set to meet US President Donald Trump at the White House on 21 July, marking their first face-to-face meeting.
Talks will focus on fulfilling the requirements of a US-backed framework agreement, including Israeli troop withdrawal and extending Lebanese state authority in the south.
The framework deal has raised concerns among diplomats and Lebanese officials over its uncertain legal standing and the absence of a timetable for Israeli withdrawal.
Lebanon and Israel are reportedly scheduled to hold fresh talks in Rome next week, though Lebanese officials say they received no prior notification of the meeting.
