Djamari Chaniago addressed personnel from the three services of the Indonesian Military (TNI) and those of the National Police serving in the border area.

Coordinating Politics and Security Minister Gen. (hon) Djamari Chaniago visited two regions in Riau Islands in a two-day visit to inspect troops in the border area and check the alleged minerals smuggling foiled by the Indonesian Navy.Djamari was accompanied by Indonesian Navy chief of staff Adm. Muhammad Ali during his visits in Riau Islands, as well as Marine Corps commanding general Lt. Gen. Endi Supardi and the First Fleet Command (Koarmada I) commander Rear Adm. Haris Bima Bayuseto.
