Mack now knows that baby Leyla is actually Charity and Ross' daughter.‌Most villagers believe Charity carried her granddaughter Sarah's baby for her, after agreeing to be her surrogate. Of course a few residents have uncovered the baby is actually Charity and Ross' - and when Mack confronts Ross, it leads to deadly scenes.‌Lawrence, who plays Mack, has revealed what Mack really had planned for Ross as the dramatic scenes air. Ross is set to be pushed off of a barn mezzanine by Mack next week, with his fate unknown - meaning Mack could turn killer...How do you think Mack is dealing with everything that Charity's recently told him?It's a lot to get his head around. Yes, there's the betrayal with Ross, but also the awful reality of what she's been through at the hands of Dr. Todd. Ultimately, he's heartbroken. He's absolutely beside himself with grief, both from the betrayal about Leyla's parentage and because his heart hurts for Charity and the fact that she's gone through all of this trauma and had to keep a secret for so long. He feels so much anger towards Todd.‌How does he feel towards Ross?Mack feels deeply betrayed by Ross. They were becoming close friends, so learning that Ross knew about Leyla feels like a big betrayal. While he might understand Charity’s motivations better due to his love for her, the betrayal from Ross is harder to reconcile.I think there's a lot of anger directed towards Ross - not so much because of the infidelity (Mack committed a similar act of betrayal with Chloe a few years ago) but because of the reality of Leyla's biological parentage. Mack asks Ross to help him with the job at the farm.Does he have a plan of what he intends to do once they're there and they're working together, or does he just want to confront him? Is he intent on getting revenge?Mack doesn't have a calculated plan. He’s driven by pure instinct and a desperate need to get Ross alone to confront him.‌He wants the truth - he wants to hear it straight from the horse's mouth. What happens at the farm, however, is not premeditated. It’s a volatile situation that spirals very quickly.Does Ross attempt to justify what's happened? Does he try and apologise?Yes, because I think Ross is also quite resentful of it. When they slept together, Ross and Mack didn't like each other, but obviously, Ross and Mack have become friendlier.Article continues belowCan you briefly describe what happens?Mack asks Ross to come up to the farm. Mack can't keep his anger in check while he's with Ross, Ross realises almost immediately that something is wrong. Tensions flare, they trade heated words, and the confrontation escalates into a scuffle on the barn mezzanine. Mack pushes Ross over the side. In that moment, Mack isn’t trying to kill him - he just wants to hurt him. He achieves that and walks away.Assuming Ross isn't terribly hurt from this fall, do you think Mack can ever bring himself to forgive and forget?That’s the million-dollar question. When you’re faced with betrayal, can you truly forgive?Are you pleased that the baby secret hasn't led to Mack and Charity splitting up?I think there's maybe an element of them sticking a band-aid over it. Mack doesn't really get much time to deal with it because he immediately enters protection mode. So, whether that rears its head further on down the line, I don't know. But he doesn't have a lot of time to process it. Also, Sarah and Jacob don't know the truth yet. Inevitably that has to come to fruition somehow, somewhere. I guess that's up to the writers and producers to decide on how and when that happens and what the consequences will be.
