The management of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, has expressed confidence that the newly appointed Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe, possesses the competence, experience and leadership qualities required to revive Nigeria’s power sector.
The university said President Bola Tinubu’s decision to appoint Tegbe was a recognition of his proven track record in public and private sector leadership, expressing optimism that he would drive reforms to make electricity supply more reliable, accessible and sustainable for Nigerians.
The university’s Public Relations Officer, Abiodun Olarewaju, stated this in a statement on Monday, as it congratulated the minister on his appointment.
The ivory tower said the appointment brought pride to the institution and reflected its tradition of producing leaders who contribute meaningfully to national development.
