It looks like the eyebrow-raising lovefest between President Donald Trump and MAGA convert Nicki Minaj is just beginning. While announcing Minaj’s attendance at Monday’s Rose Garden Club luncheon at the White House, the president proceeded to rain heaps of praise upon the rapper. “We also have a woman that is so respected and so hot and so great and such a great friend of — I don’t say conservative, I say of common sense,” Trump said. “She’s a fantastic person, and she’s a woman that’s respected by everybody, and she’s got real talent: Nicki Minaj.”Trump, who often comments about other people’s looks, has repeatedly used the word “hot” to praise someone or something for being popular or successful. He’s also frequently referred to America as the “hottest country anywhere in the world.” Trump later circled back to Minaj during his 30-minute-plus remarks while discussing the Small Business Administration. In one clip, she showed off her nails and pink dress. She also posted a photo of her posing next to Trump in the Oval Office. Minaj, who self-proclaimed herself as Trump’s “No. 1 fan,” delivered similar compliments to the president late last year at Turning Point USA’s annual convention.Speaking with Erika Kirk at the event, Minaj referred to Trump as “handsome” and “dashing,” calling him a good “role model.” Shortly before that, she thanked the president on X for speaking out about the persecution of Christians in Nigeria in November 2025 after Trump called the “mass slaughter” in Nigeria an “existential threat.”
