Image via Respawn EntertainmentNight City is officially coming to Apex Legends, and the collaboration with the popular show has finally been announced. As per the social media post, the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners x Apex Legends event kicks off on July 14, 2026, and it is set to run until August 4, 2026, making it one of the most ambitious crossovers. It was recently unveiled through coordinated teasers across both franchises' official social channels. The collab arrives at the perfect moment, i.e., just days after the reveal of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2's second teaser trailer and its confirmed Fall 2026 Netflix release date.Apex Legends x Cyberpunk: Edgerunners release dateThe Apex Legends x Cyberpunk: Edgerunners collaboration launches on July 14, 2026. It runs for three weeks, closing out on August 4, 2026. The event introduces eight new Legend skins in total. Three of them are based directly on Cyberpunk: Edgerunners characters, David Martinez for Sparrow, Lucy for Axle, and Rebecca for Rampart. The remaining five bring characters from the broader Cyberpunk 2077 universe into the Apex roster: Royce for Gibraltar, Lizzy Wizzy for Ash, and Panam for Loba. David, Lucy, and Rebecca also receive holosprays, with David's featuring the line "To the top then."Apex Legends x Cyberpunk: Edgerunners weapon skins and Mythic Skippy AlternatorThe Rewards Shop features eight weapon skins covering the Wingman, Charge Rifle, Mastiff, L-STAR, P2020, RE-45, R-301, and Kraber. The headline weapon reward, though, is something far more special. Skippy, the iconic AI-powered pistol from Cyberpunk 2077, makes a glorious return as a Mythic Alternator. It comes with Skippy's signature "Puppy Loving Pacifist" and "Stone Cold Killer" modes, comments on your gameplay in real time, and can be upgraded further using Exotic Shards. New Cyberware ModsThe collaboration introduces two brand-new Cyberware mods exclusive to the faster-paced Wildcard mode: Sandevistan and Blackwall Breach. The Sandevistan lets players dash around quickly in any direction, while also recharging their shields, and players can even link two dashes together for aggressive repositioning or emergency escapes. Blackwall Breach lets players briefly phase into the Net before unleashing a disruptive EMP attack that cracks enemy shields and reveals their location.Lead Technical Designer Jesse explained that the Sandevistan captures the speed David wields as he leans into life as an edgerunner, while Blackwall Breach reflects the devastating netrunning capabilities that Lucy brings to a fight. Both mods are mechanically distinct from anything currently in the game and look set to shake up Wildcard lobbies significantly.E-District gets a Night City makeoverThe E-District map is receiving a full cosmetic overhaul for the event's duration, transforming into a neon-soaked version of Night City without altering the underlying layout. Expect towering neon skyboxes, holographic koi fish floating through the air, and glitched corporate signage scattered across every street. The map itself plays identically, but the visual transformation is dramatic enough to make familiar rotations feel completely new. This collaboration is perfect given that CD Projekt Red has officially confirmed that Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 launches in Fall 2026 exclusively on Netflix. Trigger Studios returns for the second season, with Kai Ikarashi of Kill la Kill taking the director's chair.
