Mitch McConnell has been in the hospital since June 14. Over the past three weeks, the Kentucky senator’s office has provided few health updates. Now macabre speculation is running rampant. MAGA influencer Laura Loomer claimed the 84-year-old former Republican Majority Leader is “brain dead” and will never return to the Senate. But several of McConnell’s friends and colleagues say they just spoke to him on the phone, and he’s eager to get back to work.
