Bengaluru: Cognizant Technology Solutions secured a reprieve in its long-running trademark and copyright dispute with Bengaluru-based Atyati Technologies, after the Bombay High Court refused to grant interim injunction against the IT services company over use of its hexagonal logo.Read more: Retailer body seeks government action over Amazon, Flipkart's quick commerce pushIn an order pronounced on July 7, the court dismissed Atyati's application seeking to restrain Cognizant from using the logo, holding that Atyati had not made a prima facie case of copyright infringement or passing off at this stage.The court said that while the two logos showed resemblance, the issue in a copyright claim was whether Cognizant had copied Atyati's work, not whether the marks merely looked similar.The case dates back to 2023, when Atyati, a Bengaluru-based technology company, had argued that its "ATYATI" device mark, adopted in 2019, was copied by Cognizant's logo launched in 2022.Read more: Apple adds pace, emotion to Siri in iOS 27 developer beta: Report
