GuidePoint Security Appoints Scott Rachford as Chief Executive Officer

GuidePoint Security, the cybersecurity advisor and services partner organizations rely on to protect what matters most, today announced that Scott Rachford has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Rachford succeeds GuidePoint Security founder Michael Volk, who will transition from CEO to Executive Chairman and remain actively involved in supporting the company’s continued growth.

The planned leadership transition comes as GuidePoint Security continues to build on strong business momentum, including three years of double-digit revenue growth, deepening customer and partner relationships, and the opening of three new offices in 2025, including the company’s new headquarters. Rachford will lead GuidePoint’s next phase of growth with a focus on continued scale, operational excellence and the people-first, relationship-driven culture that has defined the company since its founding.

“GuidePoint Security has never been stronger, and this is the right time for Scott to lead the company into its next chapter,” said Michael Volk, Founder and Executive Chairman of GuidePoint Security. “Over the past 15 years, we have built a company grounded in trust, technical expertise and long-term relationships with our people, customers and partners. Scott has played an important role in that growth and brings the experience, market perspective and relationship-first leadership needed to accelerate what comes next.”
