Jamuna Bank PLC has launched a month-long special training programme, titled “Entrepreneurship Development” at the BRAC Learning Centre in Gachhpara, Pabna, aimed at enhancing the capacity of new and existing entrepreneurs by providing them with practical business knowledge, skill development support, and access to necessary financial facilities.The initiative, implemented under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP) with the support of the Asian Development Bank and the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance, targets to strengthen entrepreneurial capability through structured training and facilitate access to credit to support business growth.Prof Md Amirul Islam of the Department of Business Administration at Pabna University of Science and Technology, inaugurated the programme as the chief guest, according to a press release.Through this programme, participants will gain the essential knowledge, skills, and motivation required for effective business management, enabling them to access formal banking services and contribute to sustainable economic development.Nur Mohammed, deputy managing director of Jamuna Bank PLC, presided over the ceremony.He expressed optimism that the initiative would play a meaningful role in enhancing the capacity of local entrepreneurs and expanding financial inclusion across the region.Md Ayub Ali, joint director and DPD of the SME and Special Programmes Department at Bangladesh Bank head office; Fazlul Haque, head of the Rajshahi region at Jamuna Bank PLC; NHM Nusrat, head of SME (Marketing) at Jamuna Bank PLC; along with senior officials from Bangladesh Bank and Jamuna Bank PLC; and promising entrepreneurs from Pabna, were also present.
