Ryan Seacrest was one of the few names in Hollywood who wasn’t in attendance at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding. Though it wasn’t because he didn’t score an invitation.
The Grammy winner and Super Bowl champion, who got engaged in August last year, tied the knot at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3 after nearly three years of dating.
During Monday’s episode of his morning radio show On Air With Ryan Seacrest, Seacrest revealed that he was invited to the star-studded wedding and originally RSVP’d “yes,” but had to back out after Disney hired him to host its 4th of July 250 special.
“It was a confidential invitation to everybody that was invited. So when you were doing your reports about the wedding, I was just on the inside screaming, outside very composed,” Seacrest said to his co-hosts. “I RSVP’d to go, and then Disney hired me to do the 4th of July 250 special on the 3rd and the 4th, so I had to cancel.”
One of his co-hosts called it a “waste of an invite.” Another suggested he should have done both.
