A new navigation offering is now live on Android Auto (and Apple’s CarPlay), bringing an optimized experience for those riding motorcycles.

Android Auto and CarPlay are very much car-focused platforms, but their utility goes well beyond that. Google somewhat acknowledged this last year, adjusting language across the platform to better work with other types of vehicles.

Motorcycles are probably the biggest example here. Support has been in place for several years at this point, but it’s not exactly an optimized experience. That’s where third-party Sygic is stepping in to lend a hand, with a new navigation experience on Android Auto and CarPlay that’s tailored to motorcycle riders.

Available now, the v26.4 update for Sygic adds support for Android Auto and CarPlay as a navigation alternative to apps like Google Maps and Apple Maps on motorcycles with support for either platform. The app includes data that riders might want to know, such as weather, elevation, and alternate scenic routes.
