Swiggy Ltd. announced it was now an Indian entity following the reduction in the stake held by foreign investors.The stake of foreign direct investors and foreign portfolio investors, among others, reduced to 49.76% of the total paid-up equity share capital of the company on a fully diluted basis. This makes it an Indian Owned and Controlled Company (IOCC) according to Foreign Exchange Management (Non-Debt Instruments) Rules, 2019, the company said in an exchange notification.The company clarified that this “does not, by itself, result in any change to the ownership or control status of the company, nor does it have any impact on the share capital, management, business operations, voting rights o r rights attached to the equity shares of the Company,” in the filing.
