The Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC), in collaboration with Overseas Manpower Company Andhra Pradesh Ltd. (OMCAP), conducted an overseas recruitment drive for taxi driver positions in the United Arab Emirates.According to a press note from the APSSDC, a total of 131 candidates participated in the recruitment drive, out of which 53 were selected. The drive was held in association with 2COMS Consulting Private Limited on the Government ITI Campus in Vijayawada on Tuesday (July 7, 2026) for the position available with Kabi LLC, a taxi operator in Dubai.The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging between AED 4,000 and AED 5,000, along with accommodation support during the UAE driving licence conversion process, according to the press note.The recruitment drive is part of the State government’s ongoing efforts to enhance international workforce mobility and connect skilled youth from Andhra Pradesh with reputed overseas employers.Speaking on the occasion, D. Manohar, Executive Director, APSSDC & General Manager, OMCAP, said the State government is committed to creating global employment opportunities for the youth through strategic partnerships with reputed international employers.
