A third accused has been added to a case involving the alleged robbery of precious stones worth an estimated R14.9 million.
A third accused has been added to a case involving the alleged robbery of precious stones worth an estimated R14.9 million after an Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) officer appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrates' Court.
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) said Keisha Leigh Stols made her first court appearance after handing herself over at the Addendale Police Station on Monday, July 6, 2026.
She was subsequently charged with robbery with aggravating circumstances and fraud.
NPA spokesperson Magaboke Mohlatlole said the State successfully applied for Stols to be joined as the third accused alongside Adrian Mackenzie and Etienne van der Walt.
