One of the stars of This Morning was travelling on the train that crashed in Bedford last month14:16, 07 Jul 2026Updated 14:18, 07 Jul 2026Jo Good shares her experience onboard train crash in BedfordA popular This Morning star returned to the ITV studio after a horrific ordeal.‌Hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard were back on screen on Tuesday (July 7), where they interviewed Strictly Come Dancing winner Chris McCausland and TOWIE star Lauren Goodger.‌Later in the programme, Cat and Ben spoke to the show's fashion presenter Jo Good, as she made her first appearance in the studio since being caught up in the terrifying Bedford train crash last month.‌The crash involved two East Midlands Railway trains, which were travelling from the Midlands to London St Pancras. A total of 162 people were hurt and 102 needed hospital treatment after the incident on June 19, which killed train driver Shaun Burton.71-year-old Jo was one of the passengers left injured. On today's This Morning, Cat said: "This is Jo's first visit to the studio since a terrifying incident last month."‌Ben added: "Yeah, I'm not sure if you remember but there was a tragic Bedford train crash a few weeks ago. Two London bound trains collided, injuring more than 160 passengers. There was a fatality as well. And Jo, you were on that train."Jo replied: "I was on the train. Can I just say thank you for the welcome everybody gave me coming back here. I wanna say it's been amazing."I was on the train and ironically, it wasn't going to be the train I was going to catch. I caught an earlier one because I wanted to get back to go and do my radio shows. So, it's always sliding door moments, you know?‌"But then I was in the carriage in the middle of the train, which was less affected than the ones either end. And I was in the train that was stationary, so it was hit by the express."Recalling the moment the train was hit, Jo explained: "It's the weirdest thing. I flew out of my seat and landed on this [points to right side of her face], so I've got four fractures in my face. Can I just thank makeup, the makeup here, I want them to follow me through the rest of my life. They've done such a good job."Yes, I flew out of my seat and it was the whole of the right hand side [that was impacted] - fractures, bruises, [but] otherwise nothing."‌Jo said that she was left "shaken up" as she didn't know if the crash had been a terrorist incident at the time.She went on: "You know, the oddest thing is it's just silent, actually. There's no screaming, there's no shouting. Everyone is just in such shock. And then this amazing guard came down, dishevelled, shocked, and he said, 'If you can, get off the train.'"‌Cat noted: "Isn't it funny how it also, it's a terrible, tragic, awful accident, and yet it also brings out the very best in people too. Kindness."Ben said that they were "thrilled" to have Jo back in the studio, while Cat shared: "It's unbelievable to have you back." Ben concluded: "[You're] bouncing back, full of energy as ever and full of sunshine."Viewers were quick to send their best wishes to Jo, with one X (formerly Twitter) user writing: "B***** terrifying!
