The woman believed to be behind a notorious parcel bombing in Monaco which injured a sanctioned Ukrainian multi-millionaire and his family has been found dead in a home in Ukraine.Anastasiia Berezovska’s body was found a gunshot wound to her head, a statement from Ukrainian prosecutors said.Ms Berezovska was the subject of a cross-border manhunt after being suspected of carrying out a parcel bombing in Monaco on June 29.Interpol issued a red notice alerting police worldwide that she was a fugitive wanted for attempted murder, placing an explosive device on a public road with criminal intent and criminal conspiracy.Two people, including a serving officer inside Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence’s (MoD) main intelligence unit, have been detained on suspicion of murder, according to reporting by the BBC.Ms Berezovska, 39, arrived in Ukraine on July 1, the SBU said, citing law enforcement sources.There, she communicated with her family and two men. One is a former law enforcement officer.The two men were being investigated as possible accomplices in the Monaco attack after authorities found they “repeatedly transferred funds” to Ms Berezovska’s “crypto and bank accounts”.The intelligence officer allegedly confessed to murdering Ms Berezovska with “another suspect,” the SBU said.It continued: “During the search of the former law enforcement officer’s home, a basement room resembling a torture chamber was found.“Both suspects were detained on suspicion of committing murder with premeditation by a group of individuals.”An investigation is ongoing.Senior Monaco prosecutor Morgan Raymond said Ms Berezovska spent days scoping out the residence and was “disguised as a man” during the attack last Monday.The device exploded at around 9:00 pm, leaving a man and a woman seriously wounded and a 13-year-old with lighter injuries.Though the authorities haven’t confirmed who was the presumed target of the blast, several sources have claimed it was Ukrainian-born businessman Vadym Yermolaiev, who is a permanent resident of Monaco and has acquired Cypriot nationality.Yermolaiev is a sanctioned multi-millionaire with a reportedly long list of enemies in his homeland.Kyiv alleges the 58-year-old maintained an alcohol business in Russia-annexed Crimea -- paying taxes to Moscow even after it invaded Ukraine in 2022.A source told AFP that people would have been lining up to gun the construction magnate down in Dnipro, the industrial Ukrainian city where he made his wealth.
