A 65-year-old British national was shot and killed outside a Trincity home on Sunday.The deceased has been identified as Elaine Mc Jouan, of Mohammed Ville, San Juan.According to police, at about 11 a.m. on July 5, Mc Jouan was standing in the yard of a house along Fifth Street East, Delamare Avenue, Trincity, with her husband when a silver Nissan Tiida pulled up in front of the property.Investigators said a man armed with a firearm exited the vehicle and fired several shots in her direction before returning to the car and fleeing the scene.Mc Jouan was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex by officers of the North Central Division Task Force, Area East, but was pronounced dead on arrival.First responders included PC Scott, PC Noreiga and PC David. Officers from the Arouca CID, led by Sergeant Scipio and assisted by PC Soyer, WPC Valere and PC Pierre, also responded, along with PC Kirton and PC Thomas of the Arouca Police Station.The scene was processed by officers of the Special Evidence Recovery Unit, including PC Fuentes and WPC Ramroop, who recovered two spent 9mm shell casings.Investigations are being led by Woman Sergeant Davis, WPC Francis and PC Mathews of the Homicide Bureau, Region Two. Police currently have no motive for the woman’s killing.The murder toll currently stands at 198 compared to 200 for the same period last year.
