Noora Jabir and Moufida Mohideen won the Christo and Jeanne-Claude Award for their installation, *Everyday Artifacts*, inspired by ancient UAE fishing hooks.
The artwork draws on archaeological finds from Tell Abraq, a prehistoric settlement located between Umm Al Quwain and Sharjah.
Both artists graduated in 2024, with Ms Jabir from NYU Abu Dhabi and Ms Mohideen from the University of Sharjah, reflecting the award's growing fine arts applicant base.
The completed installation will be exhibited at Abu Dhabi Art, NYU Abu Dhabi and Umm Al Emarat Park in November and December.
