EXCLUSIVE: Love Island's Cally Jane Beech and SAS: Who Dares Wins star DJ O'Neal tied the knot in Ibiza, with the groom arriving on a motorcycle to AC/DC's Highway to Hell08:51, 07 Jul 2026They wanted a ceremony which was “the opposite of traditional”, and Love Island’s Cally Jane Beech and SAS: Who Dares Wins star David James ‘DJ’ O’Neal did just that.On 6 June, the couple said “I Do” at a picturesque villa in Santa Eularia, Ibiza – where they first met in 2016. “We wanted to take everyone we love back to where our own love story began. We loved the stunning grounds that surrounded the villa and it hada very tranquil feel,” says Cally, 34.With DJ arriving on a motorcycle, their 75 guests – including their children from previous relationships – were in for a fun-filled day from the outset.“It was magical. Our friends said it was the best wedding they’d ever been to,” DJ tells OK!. “We didn’t want it to be boring. We knew people were flying out especially, so we tried to do something a little unique.”Some pre-wedding nerves kept Cally up the night before. “I was over thinking, hoping everything would run smoothly. I’m used to being in control so when it’s not down to me to sort I get worried,” she says.Cally looked radiant in a white floor-length gown with lace cutouts from Goldie’s Bridal in York and did a dress reveal with her father Dale and daughter Vienna, and her bridesmaids – sister-in-laws Danielle Molloy, Kelly Beech, and Saturday Kitchen cocktail expert Carmen O’Neal, and her friend Carla Palmer.Nine-year-old Vienna, whose father is Cally’s Love Island ex Luis Morrison, stood open-mouthed before saying her mum looked “like a princess”.After the groomsmen – DJ’s sons Cameron and Adam, his brother-in-law Jamie Molloy, Cally’s brother Jamie Beech, her dad Dale, and DJ’s brother Ryan – came out first, the real fun began.“It was the only input I had in the day, really. I wanted my moment,” laughs DJ, 40, as he reflects on his entrance on a motorbike to the tune of AC/DC’s Highway To Hell. “It’s not just about the bride!”Unbeknownst to the groom, Cally and Vienna had worked on a little recording. DJ’s soon-to-be stepdaughter’s voice came over the speakers and said, “Thank you for taking care of my mummy’s heart.”Cally says, “DJ was already crying before he saw me because of Vienna’s note, then he got emotional again when he saw me. He’s a sensitive person, which is what I love about him. But when we said “I Do” we were just smiling and almost shy like we were kids again.”DJ adds, “There were so many emotions with everyone coming down the aisle and then her voice playing was a moment no one expected. It melted my heart. Everyone was crying, it was hard not to.”After the ceremony which started at 3pm, the newlyweds ripped up the usual wedding rulebook by going straight into the speeches. “I wrote a whole book,” DJ laughs. “It had my face on the cover, so the joke was it was going to be all about me, again! But actually, each chapter was dedicated to someone in my life who helped me get to where I am today.”Speeches often make people feel emotional and clearly this one was no different. No one was crying more than DJ’s son Adam. DJ says, “I never saw him, but during my speech he was sobbing his eyes out.”Adam and his big brother Cameron were both “super excited” about the day – almost as excited as Vienna was to be acquiring two big brothers. The speeches were quickly followed by a drinks reception – Spanish tapas and a lemon tiramisu because it was “too hot” for a cake – all of which were served outside in the sun. There was even a bespoke perfume station for guests.Cally decided not to drink though. “I was nervous and my tummy was unsettled so thought best not to drink,” she reveals. “I just wanted to take it all in.”For their first dance, the theme from Titanic played out before changing into a country song, which was a meaningful choice for the couple. “It was Rumor by Lee Brice,” Cally explains. “The song is about two people who everyone thinks are dating and it was the first song DJ ever sent me to listen to, asking why we were pretending there wasn’t something between us.”Cally says the rest of the night was a “total party” and guests danced until 2am. Former Gogglebox star Marcus Luther even decided to jump in the pool.Marcus’s wife Mica Ven was not pleased. Cally laughs, “It was so funny. She’d been warning him, ‘Don’t get in the pool at all costs.’ Next minute, he and DJ were in the pool in their boxers.”The wedding was two years in the making and Cally got stuck into the planning – with help from wedding planners, Pamper Retreats – right away after she and DJ got engaged just nine months into their relationship.Though they met while both on holiday in Ibiza, it wasn’t until 2022 that they met again and began a relationship. Cally says, “We were both in very different places in our lives. I was a new mum just coming out of a relationship, and he was in one.“He was such a good guy. It reinforced my beliefs that there are good men out there. Six years later we met again and this time, he was single!”DJ knew Cally had been on Love Island and after his break-up, started following her on Instagram. “I loved her content,” DJ smiles. “She was natural, she even left spelling mistakes in her posts. But I never DM’d her.”As for the rest of their lives together, Cally and DJ have exciting plans. They have sold their home in Hull to buy land in Barbados, where DJ’s father is from, and build their dream home. They are also working on a new business venture – opening a screen-led Reformer Pilates studio in the UK, with the mission of making it accessible to everyone.Extending their brood is something Cally and DJ have ultimately ruled out. Cally says, “We’ve both decided we don’t want more kids. Back when we first got together, for me, having more kids was about healing trauma and having a present partner that I feel secure with. But I don’t need that now.”Article continues belowWhat Cally is excited about is the little maltipoo “fur baby” she’s just put a deposit on. “It’s a surprise for Vienna, she’s always wanted a dog!”Like this story?
