A Federal High Court in Abuja will on Friday, July 10, 2026, deliver judgment in the suit filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) seeking the final forfeiture of 57 properties allegedly linked to former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.

The judgment, which was initially scheduled for Monday, July 6, 2026, was postponed by the presiding judge, Justice Joyce Abdulmalik, who subsequently fixed July 10 for the ruling.

The case stems from an application by the EFCC seeking to make permanent an interim forfeiture order earlier granted by the court over the properties, which the anti-graft agency alleged were proceeds of official corruption and abuse of office.

According to the commission, the assets are valued at more than N212 billion and are located across Abuja, Kano, Kebbi and Kaduna states. The EFCC had earlier obtained an interim forfeiture order pending the hearing and determination of the substantive application for final forfeiture.
