Russia is experiencing a significant decline in the production of dual-use chemical products, reflecting the effectiveness of Ukraine's long-range strikes, according to Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD).
According to Ukrinform, the agency announced this on Facebook.
"Amid Russia's painful gasoline crisis, the country is also seeing a significant decline in the output of dual-use chemical products. This is another consequence of Ukrainian long-range strikes," the CCD said.
According to Russia's state statistics agency Rosstat, production of ammonium nitrate in Russia fell by 9% year-on-year. In May alone, output dropped by 14% compared with the same month last year, marking the steepest decline since the beginning of the year.
The CCD noted that ammonium nitrate is a dual-use product. In addition to being an important fertilizer for Russia's agricultural sector, it can also be used by the country's military-industrial complex.
