Zahidul Haque has recently been appointed deputy managing director of National Bank PLC.He joins the bank with more than 26 years of experience spanning information and communication technology and banking, a combination that positions him to lead at the intersection of financial performance and digital innovation.Before joining National Bank, he served as senior executive vice-president and chief information and technology officer at Eastern Bank PLC, according to a press release.He spent 15 years building and scaling one of the country’s most capable banking technology organisations.Haque earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing management from the International University of Business Agriculture and Technology in Dhaka and an MBA in financial management.
