July 6 (UPI) -- Oscar-nominated actor Sylvester Stallone is celebrating his 80th birthday.
The actor has entertained audiences for more than 50 years with his action-packed roles, from boxer Rocky Balboa in the Rocky film franchise to mafia capo Dwight "The General" Manfredi in the Paramount+ series Tulsa King.
Stallone, whose other credits include the Rambo movies and Demolition Man, has earned three Oscar nominations and starred in three blockbuster franchises during his career. Here's a look back at 8 of his memorable performances.
