A woman thwarted the attempt of two property offenders to forcibly enter a locked house in Kurnool city during the early hours of Monday (July 6, 2026).According to the police, Ms. Rajeswari, a resident of Ganesh Nagar Fourth Class Employees’ Colony, noticed suspicious individuals entering a locked house in the neighbourhood and alerted the police.Police immediately rushed to the locality, surrounded the house, and took the two accused into custody. The detained individuals were identified as Shaik Khaja and Shaik Alam Hussain, both residents of Budhavarapet in Kurnool. They were shifted to the Kurnool III-Town Police Station for further action, and a case has been registered.District police officials commended Ms. Rajeshwari for her presence of mind in alerting the police, as well as Kurnool One-Town CI Maruti Shankar, Head Constable Dhanaraj, and the police personnel involved in the operation for their prompt response.Kurnool police have appealed to the public to immediately report any suspicious individuals or illegal activities in their colonies via Dial-112 or Dial-100.
