A 30-year-old Border Security Force (BSF) jawan “accidentally” brought a knife to the Salem Collectorate on Monday.On Monday, members of the public who arrived at the Collectorate to submit petitions were allowed inside after proper frisking. While the police checked a motorcycle, they found a knife in the seat cover. The police seized the knife and inquired the person on the bike, who was identified as Nirmalraj (30), a resident of Thumbal near Vazhapadi and a BSF jawan in Kashmir.Inquiries revealed that he had come to the village on leave and while cleaning the house, he kept the knife in the bike and forgot about that.
