MANILA, Philippines – Batangas Electric Cooperative II (Batelec II) has approved the planned public bidding to select a private sector partner as it seeks to strengthen its distribution operations.
In a statement, the electric cooperative said its board of directors unanimously approved the use of a competitive selection process (CSP) as the framework for evaluating prospective private sector partners, marking the first step before any commercial negotiations begin.

The board also directed its Technical Working Group to prepare the terms of reference (TOR) that will govern the bidding process, including the eligibility requirements and evaluation criteria for proponents.
