MANILA, Philippines — Despite what people may think, lead public prosecutor and Batangas Rep. Gerville Luistro believes they scored a win on the first day of Vice President Sara Duterte’s impeachment trial, as seeing the proceedings roll is already a victory.
Luistro, in a press briefing, was asked about what she thought of the first day of trial, given that some of the motions raised by the prosecution panel did not go in their favor.
In response, she said the people won because they have waited for so long for Duterte’s trial, and now, it is finally being held.
