MP for Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Kota Srinivas Poojary inspects the new Kendriya Vidyalaya building at Alevoor in Udupi on Monday

Member of Parliament for Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Kota Srinivas Poojary said on Monday that the new Kendriya Vidyalaya building at Alevoor in Udupi would be inaugurated soon.Speaking to reporters after inspecting the ₹28-crore building, he said the project was complete. The new building has been constructed to provide students in Udupi district with better educational facilities. Once inaugurated, students will be able to study in a good environment, he said.Mr. Poojary visited each classroom in the existing building and interacted with the students. He reviewed the learning environment, well-being of the students, educational activities, and infrastructure at the school. He was told by the authorities that more than 400 students from classes 1 to 10 are currently studying there. He was also told that from the current academic year, approval has been given to start classes 1 to 5, and these classes have already begun. In this context, the MP appealed to parents to enrol their children in the Kendriya Vidyalaya in large numbers and take advantage of the facilities.In-charge principal Vasant sought repairs to the connecting road from Manipal to the school.
