Ben Kajwang recognised for insurance sector reforms with top CEO award [Courtesy]
College of Insurance Chief Executive Officer Ben Kajwang has been named the Best-Performing CEO at the 2026 BOBEA Leadership Awards
The accolade was in recognition of his two decades of service in insurance practice, reinsurance, academia, and regional policy development.
The award places him alongside fellow corporate and social leaders recognised at the same event, including Kenyan human rights lawyer Anita Nyanjong, who received the BOBEA Community Leadership Award for her 17-year career in women's rights and legal reform.
While Nyanjong was feted for grassroots empowerment and judicial resource development, Kajwang's recognition was for institutional transformation and professional skills standardisation across Africa.
