Cape Advanced Vehicles reimagines the GT40 with its new limited-edition GT MkII.
South African performance vehicle firm Cape Advanced Vehicles (CAV) has created an exclusive new Ford GT40 restomod that aims to reimagine a supercar icon while commemorating a special milestone.
Its launch coincides with the 60th anniversary of Ford’s historic 1-2-3 finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966, when the Blue Oval dramatically overturned the endurance racing status quo on Ferrari’s home turf.
CAV director Jordi Reddy says the new GT MkII captures the spirit of the original while delivering the refinement, usability and performance expected of a modern supercar.
The GT MkII restomod brings updated engineering to the classic Ford GT40 design.
