South African global music sensation Tyla has added yet another record-breaking achievement to her growing list of accolades after becoming the first artist in history to spend a cumulative 100 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's US Afrobeats Songs chart.
The historic milestone was confirmed by music analytics platform Chart Data, which announced on X that Tyla had officially reached the landmark, making her the first artist ever to achieve the feat.
The achievement comes after her latest single, "Is It Love", climbed to the summit of the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart, adding to an already dominant run that includes chart-topping hits such as "Water", "Push 2 Start" and "Chanel."
Her breakout smash "Water" first introduced her to the global stage, spending a record-breaking 55 weeks at No. 1 on the chart before being succeeded by other chart-toppers from the Johannesburg-born star.
