Bishop Dr John Ibenu of the Chapel of Freedom International Churches has urged Nigerians to inspire hope and contribute positively to national development, rather than dwelling on the nation’s challenges and blaming the system.
Ibenu, at a press conference in Lokoja on Monday, commended the efforts of government at various levels and acknowledged the difficulties confronting the country.
The cleric said that while citizens had legitimate concerns, national progress would be accelerated if individuals and organisations complemented government efforts through positive actions and community service.
Ibenu, a former Kogi CAN Chairman, said the ministry had remained committed to improving the welfare of the people through quality and affordable education, scholarship programmes, road maintenance projects, free medical services and the distribution of food items and clothing to vulnerable members of society.
