Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) urged people not to dump their old mattress or furniture in nalas or on streets, and instead opt for responsible recycling. It released a QR code for people to book ’free’ doorstep service to pickup such furniture and bedding.“Scan the QR code to book your FREE doorstep pickup today and ensure your old mattresses and furniture are recycled responsibly,” it stated in a post on X on Sunday (July 5, 2026).
