According to him, the party’s internal situation and “endless legal battles” no longer provide the stability required for him to effectively represent the people of Nasarawa South.

The senator representing Nasarawa South Senatorial District, Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo, has resigned his membership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), citing the party’s lingering legal disputes and internal challenges.

In a resignation letter dated July 2, 2026, and addressed to the ADC chairman in Galadimawa Ward, Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, the lawmaker said his resignation took effect from June 15, 2026.

Onawo said his decision followed extensive consultations with his constituents, political associates and other stakeholders.
