The Delhi High Court on Monday issued a notice to the Centre after members and staff of the Gymkhana Club in Delhi moved a plea challenging a show-cause notice issued to the club to evict. He also said that the notice requires the club's representative to appear before the Estate Officer on or before July 7.The government had issued a notice to the Lutyens' Delhi club barely a month after assuring the Delhi HC that any eviction would be carried out only in accordance with law and after prior notice.In its Monday order, the Delhi High Court set July 28 as the date of next hearing.
