England are into the World Cup quarter-finals after coming through a Mexico City thriller at the Estadio Azteca.
Jude Bellingham scored twice and Harry Kane notched from the penalty spot on a night where the back-to-back European Championship finalists faced all manner of obstacles: Kickoff was delayed by an hour, Jarell Quansah was sent off, there was a touchline fracas, VAR controversies and one heck a noisy, hostile atmosphere. Oh and the altitude. Don't forget the altitude.
In the end, Thomas Tuchel's men did what they had to do. They scored three goals, played some tidy football in parts and when they needed to really dig in and defend, they did that too - not least in the final half hour after ex-Liverpool defender Quansah was handed his marching orders.
A date with Norway in Miami is the reward as England kept their quest for World Cup glory on track, despite the best efforts of Raul Jimenez and co.
