Over the weekend, America’s 250th birthday drew patriotic tributes from some of the biggest names in technology and business, while President Donald Trump used the landmark celebration to deliver a sharply political speech warning that the nation faces a “communist menace.”

Communities across all 50 states celebrated the nation’s 250th anniversary on Saturday with parades, concerts, historical reenactments and fireworks.
In Washington, D.C., organizers staged a 40-minute fireworks display in an attempt to set a world record. At the same time, New York City marked the occasion with Navy flyovers, tall ships in the harbor and the Empire State Building illuminated in celebration.
Several prominent business leaders also took to X to commemorate the milestone.
