RIYADH: Saudi Arabia will participate in the Global Dialogue on AI Governance, to be held on the sidelines of the AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva, Switzerland, from July 6 to 7.
The dialogue will bring together ministers, policymakers, representatives of international organizations, the private sector, academia, and civil society from around the world, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Sunday.
The Saudi delegation will be headed by Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Al-Swaha and will include President of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority Abdullah Al-Ghamdi.
Also participating will be Abdulmohsen bin Khothaila, permanent representative of Saudi Arabia to the UN and international organizations in Geneva; Latifa bint Mohammed Al-Abdulkarim, member of the Saudi Shura Council and the UN High-Level Advisory Body on AI; as well as representatives of the Saudi Human Rights Commission and the King Abdulaziz Center for Cultural Communication.
The participation reflects Saudi Arabia's growing role in information technology, data, and AI, and its progress in building a national AI ecosystem under Vision 2030. It also reinforces the Kingdom's position as an active contributor to international efforts to shape responsible AI governance.
