Ahead of her interview on the show, the former Love Island contestant-turned-presenter welcomed the Our Yorkshire Farm star, telling listeners: "She is a shepherdess, she's got books, she's got TV shows, she's going out on tour, [and she's a mum to] Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clemmy and Nancy, it's Amanda Owen!".‌The television personality seemed somewhat flustered in her response, as she replied: "Hello Amy, you're stressing me out from actually even saying this because it makes me feel embarrassed.‌"I'm like, I'm really not all that, I mean, yes, that is kind of like the vital statistics but come on."‌Amy said she understood completely, having faced comparable introductions herself. "You sort of think like, 'Oh what do I even do?' and they list it all and you're like, 'Okay, no I do do quite a lot."Amanda insisted the compliments were bittersweet, acknowledging that while she took pride in what she'd accomplished, it nonetheless left her feeling "embarrassed".‌"And you know, a parent of nine, it's like well yes I am, but as Raven, my eldest, said the other day, she said, 'Look at what I've achieved after being dragged up'."So, you do keep it real, it's like those are your achievements and if your achievements have been about my rather lapse achievements, then take it. It's all good, it's character building."When questioned about life as a mother of nine, the 51-year-old made light of her family home's condition.‌"It's not a perfect house," she said. "I mean, I think it's perfect in that it's homely and it's welcoming, but yeah you don't want to scratch the surface too much because it's never going to look like one of those houses out of a glossy magazine, but I feel like it's got a nice vibe to it," she added.Ravenseat Farm serves as home to Amanda and her nine children. The isolated 2,000-acre hill farm sits in Swaledale, nestled within the Yorkshire Dales National Park.‌Following her split from Clive Owen in 2022, the shepherdess has remained living and working at Ravenseat while the former couple co-parent their brood.Amanda and her ex-husband also filmed their project on a neighbouring property called Anty John's, which forms the centrepiece of their series Our Farm Next Door.Speaking previously about the renovation, Amanda described it as a "very slow job", though one that has involved the entire family.Article continues belowThe pair have undertaken substantial restoration work, from fixing the roof and stonework to fitting crucial utilities.In contrast to Our Yorkshire Farm, which focused on everyday life at Ravenseat, Our Farm Next Door chronicles the family's bold renovation of Anty John's and the difficulties of restoring a traditional Yorkshire farmhouse in such an isolated location.
