Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson the strengthening of air defense and countermeasures against Russian ballistic weapons.
According to Ukrinform, Zelensky wrote about this on Telegram.
He expressed his gratitude to Kristersson for his support and for his clear stance on Russia’s war against Ukraine.
“The key issue, of course, is air defense. We are now seeing that the Russians are relying on ballistic missile strikes, combined strikes, and ‘Shahed’ drones. Defense against this is key to preventing Russia from dragging out the war. Of course, Ulf and I discussed steps that can be taken to enhance our defenses,” Zelensky noted.
According to him, both sides are working actively to ensure that all the necessary infrastructure, training, and operational deployment of the Swedish Gripen fighter jets are in place on time.
