In a milestone achievement, the 5 (TN) Battalion of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), Tirunelveli, has facilitated the selection of 44 cadets as Agniveers into the Indian army.According to a press statement, the Tirunelveli battalion has recorded the highest-ever recruitment by a single NCC Battalion in the country. Operating with a strategic focus, the unit conducted extensive training modules in multiple phases that systematically prepared the ex-cadets for the online written examination and physical proficiency tests.The intensive preparation enabled the cadets to secure entry into the armed forces, setting a milestone for NCC, nationwide. The achievement also earned the battalion a place in the India Book of Records.Speaking on the achievement, Lt. Col.
