Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has expressed deep sorrow over the death of his Special Adviser on Higher Education, Yakubu Ibrahim, and the tragic loss of two children of a former Deputy Governor, Baba Tela, in a road accident.
In a statement issued on Sunday by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, Mohammed, on behalf of his family, the government and the people of Bauchi State, condoled with the families over the losses.
According to the statement, Ibrahim, an elder statesman, educationist and former Commissioner for Religious Affairs, died in Abuja after a protracted illness.
The governor described the late Ibrahim as a distinguished public servant whose life was marked by integrity, humility, selfless service and an unwavering commitment to the development of education in Bauchi State.
