The superstar singer, 36, sent the showbiz world into a frenzy on Friday when she tied the knot with NFL star, Travis Kelce, also 36, at Maddison Square Garden in New York.‌The couple was joined by a whole of famous faces, however, one of Taylor's closest allies, who had supported the star since she was in school, was sadly a notable absence.‌Kirk Schwabe, 69, who taught the singer before becoming Taylor's bodyguard at the request of her family, reportedly died of renal cancer on July 3 as his former student said 'I do'.‌The Telegraph reports that Schwabe served as a Chicago police officer before he taught Taylor criminal justice at Henderson High School in Nashville, Tennessee from 2004 to 2006.Taylor honoured her teacher as she made a cameo in Garry Marshall's romantic comedy Valentine's Day - naming her character's teacher Mr. Schwabe.‌In an interview before the star's wedding, Schwabe recalled the advice he gave a young Taylor when she was on the brink of stardom, saying: "You're a superstar. This is not fun and games no more. You are it. Everything keeps going up and up and up, and the sky's the limit for you."However, he also described watching the Bad Blood billionaire's rise to fame as a 'panic.' He explained: "If anything happens, I'm the guy..."We got four or 500 people in here and I got extra security guards, but I don't know a lot of those guys who got hired, I don't know what their qualifications are."‌Schwabe ended up leaving the job after few years, saying he was exhausted but he still loved Taylor. His family said he remained incredibly proud of everything she had achieved and that he was happy she was getting married.In his final interview, claiming he was confident his former student had chosen a good husband, he said: "I do trust Taylor's judgment.
