China and Russia will hold joint naval exercises in Chinese waters and airspace in July.

Bloomberg stated this in an article, citing a statement from China's Ministry of National Defense released on Sunday, Ukrinform reports.

It is noted that the exercises will take place in the waters and airspace near Qingdao, after which the two sides will conduct joint naval patrols in the Pacific Ocean.

China's defense ministry said that the Joint Sea-2026 exercises are part of the annual cooperation plan between the armed forces of the two countries, aimed at "addressing security challenges and promoting peace and stability in the region."
